So I've now just gotten the news about the new bill the NDAA are attempting to pass(Thanks to anonymous). This bill states the military would be given the power to arrest, and even assassinate, the people because of "treason". What do you people think of this new act? They will be voting on it on 12.15.12, and the white house has threatened to veto this bill. But i would like to hear your thoughts on this.

it doesn't matter what the people who did the video like to dress up as, they have their facts straight, which
can be easily verified through many news sources. This bill is atrocious and is solidifying this nation into a
facist police state run by martial law. The only reason Obama threatened to veto this, was not to protect the
rights of the people, in fact his administration insisted that the part that made the US a battlefield and that
American citizens could be arrested and held without trial, stay in the bill, the only reason he was going to veto
the bill would be that his administration was restricted on how they could handle "high-value terrorist detainees"
Basically his administration wanted more power and they don't care that this bill not only destroys what little
is left of our constitutional rights, but that it is just fundamentally evil and wrong to be able to do this to anyone
no matter what country they are from. And the fact that people are not up in arms about this is just sad. At this
point I'm all out of hope for this country. Maybe this will be taken to the Supreme Court, but they don't care
about the constitution either, just their own agendas, whether to the left or right. Sigh.

This is only partly right, There isn't a right to assassinate people. There is the right to hold people indefinitely in military bases for "suspected terrorism". I'm not trying to rain on your parade, but I don't trust people who compare our government to a fictional one.

Yeah, I prefer not to get my news from people playing V for Vendetta.
They wear that outfit because of what that dude did in the movie. Though i didn't actually watch it i saw clips so i'm just inferring. And they also wear it to hide their identity from public view, they modify their voices and use aliases for the same reason. The info they gather are from reliable sources, then gather a summary and tell it through different means such as youtube, twitter, facebook, etc. etc..

I haven't heard anything about assassination, although the part about holding Americans indefinitely is correct. Obama initially threatened to veto this, but has since backed down. If it passes, they'll have free range to arrest and hold Occupy protestors for as long as they want, essentially. It passed in the Senate 93-7, which should show you that both parties are bought and paid for.

The dude blew up parliament or some bullshit. Totally unrealistic. It's an alright movie, I guess (even the anarchist author of the comic book didn't watch it), but it's no basis for a movement.
Actually that "dude" tried and failed to blow up parliament... in 1605.

Did you know that dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand on the very edge of the pool and throw them fish?
