I'm going to the Hawai'i Bowl football game on Christmas Eve. I don't even like football, but I'm kinda stoked.

I am getting the first four seasons of HOUSE on dvd and a new purse. I love buying my own gifts!

And for my birthday, I am traveling a week afterwards to see A-F.

It doesn't look like the manufacturer sells them independently. You can probably pick one up cheap at Office Depot though.

Flash drives use flash memory, which is basically just a little chip that holds data. SD cards, MemorySticks, thumb drives, etc are all flash.

A portable hard drive is just like the hard disk drive inside your computer, except put into a casing and connected with a USB cord so it's portable. Hard drives have spinning platters that hold data, and needles that read/write data. They look kind of like vinyl record turntables on the inside, and they work more or less the same. The moving parts make them more susceptible t...

In the gift guide section? I think I found it. It's a ruggedized, portable hard drive. The header for the blurb was "USB 2.0 Portable Drive", so I can see how that could easily be confused for flash.
Yes, can you give me the site? What is the difference between a flash drive and a portable hard drive?

I don't know why anyone would need that much storage space, especially on a portable device, unless you are going to run an operating system from it. My Computer with the most storage space on it has 68gb on two hard drives, one with 9GB and another with 60 GB and neither of them are even half full. I have a 5-year old 4gb iPod with all my music, a fully functional Windows 3.1 installation, and all of my school work and it is just over half full. I guess I've always just been careful not to let junk pile up...

It was probably solid-state, not flash. Flash comes in multiples of two. 2, 8, 128, 1024, etc. That's still a ridiculously good deal though. SSD is crazy expensive.
Idk, it said flash. It was this one, I should probably try to read it in a store.

Last night my grandparents and uncle gave me MW2 and today I beat it. Best game ever.
