Maple syrup is sweeter than chocolate or cream.
I mean, obviously. Maple syrup is pretty, much pure sugar and it's generally used in, unless you want dry pancakes. Cream is not nearly as sweet and chocolate isn't quite as sweet either as it contains other ingredients.
