Replying to Facebook Page that everyone wants banned (well, not everyone)

Fuck soldiers.

It's simple. If a soldier does what is right then he or she is a hero. If they decide to take prisoners, torture prisoners, and kill cilvilians then they are evil and sedistic. More over, the person that started this page needs to be educated. They obviously do not understand the duties of a soldier.

I really like that page.

My cousin was in Iraq (unfortunately he was killed), and the only reason he was there to get killed (it was his 2nd tour) was because they sent the rest of his unit back. He gave up his desk job to be with his friends. Stupid man (though I love him dearly).

I disagree with the fact that the group name is an overarching statement. MOST soldiers are tools of war, not all of them.

Most people join for economic reasons.  I'm in the Air Force, so the indoctrination isn't that strong, though in the Marines you have many flag worshipers, still mostly just poor people who weren't smart enough to join the Air Force.

Many people get indoctrinated over time though, and once you're in its easy to understand why. Not only do you get the usual dose of propaganda, but people actively praise you.  When I wear my uniform I: Get seated First Class, Random people buy me stuff sometimes, strangers come up to shake my hand, people smile when they see you and thank you for serving.  Honestly, it makes you feel like a goddamn super h...
