I really like them. Rise Against is the band that led me into punk. but the new album dissapointed me. It's good, just not so rise against to me. But Collapse is a really great song.

I absolutely loved all their other albums.
Its tired of lies, not tired o' flies.

I'm not such a fan of their music, although I did meet Tim (vocals) randomly downtown back in June. He was a really chatty guy, although I had to tease him because he was buying heart shaped sunglasses, which he denied were for him....ya.....right!

Rise Against are one of, if not my favorite band. They're the first proper punk band I got into liking, shortly after came Billy Talent & Anti-Flag. I saw RA last March (supported by Flobots & Anti-Flag) & they were amazing, their lyrics are just beautiful & powerful at the same time & I've got 2 tattoos on my wishlist that include Rise Against lyrics. They inspire my morals & are very important to me.

I would pick a favorite album but they're all amazing. They're one of few bands that can keep producing new amazing material without dramatically changing their sound, I can't describe how great they are.

I would say each album has its own distinct style and sound.

The Unraveling and Revolutions Per Minute are 2 awesome albums, Siren Song Of The Counter Culture and The Sufferer & Witness aren't that good, but they also had some good songs and Appeal To Reason is a disappointing album.

The Unraveling is their best album, anyoe who says otherwise is WRONG. JUST WRONG I TELL YOU.

Just kidding.

The unraveling is my favourite though because it's just straight up honest and raw emotion. I can relate to the lyrics of every single song on it. I think Rise Against's best songs are the ones reflecting on personal relationships rather than socio-political issues.
You can storm the edit suite or move to block its theatrical release, but I think we can safely guarantee that there will be no revisions to the script made on behalf of a supporting cast(e).

saw them last night for the second time.

left home at 430 got to the venue at about 730 (doors were at 8) got in me and my friend worked are way to the front(well second) to watch the opening act. they were a local punk band they were okay but the  pa's were too loud so everything sounded horrible. then rise against came on me and hobo carl managed to get up front.. opened with colapse and state of the union. I'll post the whole set later. they played 20 songs with two acoustics and dancing for rain(which surprised me) and ended with give it all and ready to fall. i hung round back for bout a half hour and saw a sealgull try to get into a car. First Tim and Zack came out, me and my friend talked with them got stuff signed and picture etc. we waited a bit more and brandon came out again taalked (i got to rub his beard) :P. again we waited a bit more and joe came out we chatted about basses bands and soya latés. It was a really good night except for the two guys besinde me that kept shouting at me and trying to get me to move off the barrier... the fucker didnt know the lyrics to half the songs so fuck him. he started to stop after he got a pick so i recon he was just trying to get a pick to show off.

Edit:
set list was as follows

Collapse
State of the Union
Re-Education
Paper Wings(sex)
Long Forgotten Sons
Good Left Undone
Chamber and the Cartridge
Drones(amazing)
Dirt Whispered
Audience of One
Blood to Bleed
Savior
Surive
Blood Red White bla bla
Prayer of the Refugee

went off stage

Tim comes on

Swing Life Away

then zack came on

Hero of war (at the end joe and brandon came and played for the last bit bass was too loud though)

they all left again

Dancing for Rain
Give it All
Ready to fall

Brandon told me he got aa new kit and was haviing trouble with fills if anyone cares

In my opinion, it's not so good as TU und RPM. ^^

I saw them last week for the fourth time and I doesn't really like the Setlist (they played they same as above without Blood-Red and the acoustic songs) except Paper Wings. I wanna hear more old stuff live.

Savior and Audience Of One have gotten my attention lately.
I'm PRG/Poofah, and I ran http://peacepunk.net for nearly 5 years before being promoted to the official Anti-Flag website. It's nice to meet you all! I will be administering this forum alongside Anti-Flag and the A-F Records crew.
