I went to a party last night and something made me feel hope for the people in this city again.
I was sitting on the floor with people from my classroom, that used to say I didn't deserve to be at uni because I smoke weed, when a guy I could never expect said 'are you going to pass that joint or what?'. I was so surprised, and then we started chatting about lots of things, and with other guys that were also anti-weed but were smoking with us.
Pretty much every person on that party was either smoking or eating weed, so we were all in the same sync, and now I don't have to feel bad when I light a joint in front of them!

Now I have 4-channel audio output from my new computer. Not much to say about it, I have nothing to play in 4-channel but it still sounds nice in the audio test program. If only I could figure out a way to send a constant 30khz signal to trick my stereo into quadraphonic mode.

Can't wait until Shane Meadows is able to finish This Is England 90. I wonder where he will take the story along now.

It's supposed to be more focused on the rave scene of the time.

Either way, the series is too dramatic for my tastes.

The series is too dramatic I'm not going to disagree with you there. And usually that would bother me, but the actors know how to fucking sell it.

The rave storylines hopefully wont just involve dramatic scenes of drug abuse or some sort of  predictible shit like that.

I think all of the actors do a really good job of getting into their roles, and they definitely sell their parts, but the series just depressed the living shit out of me. Maybe it's cause I was going through some personal shit of my own at the time, but I just didn't want to watch it. The rape scenes, the cheating scenes--all of that really made watching the series painful and uncomfortable.

I'm sure that's what it'll end up being about, the series seems to set a theme of self-destruction. Also, given the nature of the rave scene, I don't see it not being about drug abuse.
