& Neddie, what software do you use? I'm guessing photoshop? I use GIMP because I can't afford photoshop, however much I'd love it. However I could get those kind of results with GIMP, it's probably a lot harder.

Also I was thinking of getting a tat with Rise Against's lyrics "just because you can breath, doesnt mean your alive" in banners or kinda like the gun and vine design they made.
She apparently wanted 3 stars but got 56. I'm a member of a very popular tattoo&piercing forum & we had a 6ish page discussion about this between the day before it was on the news til she admitted she lied. We all guessed that she changed her story cause her dad got mad
Secondly - good choice, Rise Against lyrics are always great & make great tattoos I think. Always very meaningful but with the poetic & metaphorical side that AF lyrics don't really have (Though don't think I dislike AF lyrics, I think they're brilliant! Just a little more 'In your face' than RA)

Thats why I LOVE Rise Against their lyrics are just superior to most other bands. Yea AF is awesome and it fits the in your face style like you said but the RA lyrics just kick ass.

The light wasn't good etc. I wish I would look like that without editing
Ah, I see. I don't bother with editing the light/shade effects I just try to take a picture with good natural light.

The first is:

My favorite song from my favorite band, and also a life motto/outlook of mine. It'd be drawn a little neater than this (paint with a laptop is a bitch) but I'm pretty sure this is the font style I want. I really want this but I have NO idea where to get it.
The other is a sunflower, but because of the personal symbolism behind it I'm probably going to hold off on that.
The other would be a swallow, like this one:

preferably in different colors (maybe a green instead of the yellow? I need help choosing that too) with an exploding/shooting star glowing behind it. Much more cliche, I realize, but that doesn't bother me. I love how they look and I really like the symbolism of loyalty, as well as freedom, and long-distance travel behind it.
My boyfriend has recommended I get some kind of star and moon design, which I like, but I'm not sure I want for my first tattoo. It seems like more something I can add later on, or something I could incorporate with the swallow to represent exceeding limits and expectations and going as far as you can in life.
Whatever I get has to be in a discreet location since my job isn't incredibly tattoo friendly (not completely against them, but they're frowned upon, as will most future jobs probably be.) Also my parents, brothers, and grandmother are quite against them, and rather than deal with their bitching and telling me how gross and trashy I look, I'd rather just be able to keep it from their eyes for the time being
Advice? Opinions? Please?
