People are too lazy to do anything. They expect to sit there and have the change come to them. No one wants to do anything anymore! We need protests! No one is looking for ways to change the world anymore. We need to bring the issues to the people and not the government. There are more of us then them. We expect our government to change everything. That’s not how it works. People have heard the issues a thousand times, but that’s the problem, they’ve HEARD it, not seen it. We need to present it in a new way. A different approach. We must make them understand. You can hand people all the information in the world but if they are not emotionally moved it doesn’t count. We need to pull a people’s heart strings to get things done. Right now we’re just scratching on the door but with more people joining the movement we can be a roar at their door they can’t ignore.

On an unrelated note, I was actually considering using John Wayne was a Nazi for my TPU username, cause I use that name to play CS:S. I decided against it.

Wow...that's sad...Why do people insist upon saying stupid comments and not think before they post at all. It kind of irratates me how immature people can be. I mean I respect your decisions but unless you've tried to understand why I do what I do please keep your opinions to yourself because all that will most likely come out is uneducated misconceptions and absolute stupidity.

"Shut up if you have nothing nice to say" doesn't make you actually seem any more mature, either.

If I was looking for maturity, I would avoid the internet at all costs. There was a time when I was thinking of becoming a vegetarian, but the fact is it changes nothing. Your choice of diet is not going to free me from the exploitation, and injustice of capitalism, nor free me from the tyranny, and oppression of government. You're very smug, and I don't like it.

I'm also really sorry that cows are so slow.

He said that animals taste good... they do. That's not immature, that's an opinion. You're just bitching for no reason because he didn't agree with you. If you can't stand to be disagreed with, I recommend that you GTFO out of this forum and go to a PETA one, instead.

It actually does make a change it causes less pollution and you become healither. There's really nothing to lose. And if it gives me  peace of mind knowing that I'm not willingly contributing to MURDER what's that harm?
I don't like the government eigther but it's also alot better than what some people have, like in Uganda, Joseph Kony is a mad man who wants to rebel against the government and has resorted to kidnapping children in the middle of the night and brain washing them into being his child soilders because no one wants to willingly follow him. The govenment there is powerless from catching him and ending Africa's longest running war. At least you're moderatly safe.
I'm sorry if I come off bitchy I just get a lot of crap all the time for being who I am and what I believe in...sometimes I just get fed up with it...

I'm a vegetarian but much less militant about it than I used to be, I decided I care somewhat more for the rights of human beings.

I agree with this idea. I am more concerned about humans, because people are unlikely to care about animals if there isn't any empathy for our fellow homo sapiens.

I'm not actually a vegetarian (I tell people I'm a part-time vegetarian i.e. I tend to go for vegetarian food when I'm out on my own, but in the house I don't cause a fuss) but I have a lot of respect for people who are vegetarian. Bearing in mind that animals can suffer as much as human beings.

-_-; It was immature because of what it was a reply to. I was asking for what we can change and improve. What he said like going into an anti-war forum and purposefully saying we should go bomb (fill in the blank). It's provocation because he just wanted to start a fight...it's just dumb...

I have like a hundred causes and things I want to change I usually don't focus on just one thing. I try to loop it all together becuase if you get once cause linked to another then the people in this group can use this to get what they want and vice versa. For example:

Abortion, I'm ok with eigther one but, if you were pro-life, we can't do that to people unless there's foster care and adoption system reform because as it is it's a total mess and too many kids are bein neglicted and not adopted by loving parents. If you ask someone who is pro-life if they're going to have children most would say yes so that leaves who to adopt the children...gays. If we legalized gay marrige then more adopted/foster children would go to loving caring homes and not to ones that just see them as a pay check.

I do, it's taking a life away. An animal has a will to live just as much as you do. They scream just like you would if you were being hung my your feet and had you throat slit.
I actually find it gross and the smell of hamburgar makes me want to hurl. I think people who eat meat and dairy close themselves off the the limitless possiblities there is with food. I've notices a HUGE diffrence. Almost everything I ate had somekind of animal product in it, it's ridiculous. But now that I've gotten out of the box there are so many things BETTER then meat and dairy ever were. I feel that meat and dairy have very bland flavors. But that's just my opinion.

Yes, because only gay people adopt children. And they have to be married to live together and adopt kids.

That's not what I said and you know it. I was mearly saying that since they cannot have children that by adopting it will DRAMATICALLY reduce the amount of unadopted children.
I knew this woman who was in a commited relationship and they decided to adopt but they couldn't togther so the other woman adopted their daughter and when they ended up getting in a huge fight and breaking up the other woman took her daughter with her. Since they were not married and could not adopt together there was no custody hearing and she has no visitation rights what so ever. She lost two people she loved and there was nothing she could do aobut it...is that fair?
