Against Me!'s drummer Warren Oakes quit the band to start a Mexican restaurant in Gainsville Florida.

Apparently they just got the drummer from Hot Water Music to replace him.
I always liked Against Me! except when they made New Wave.
It's kind of hard from going from self proclaimed anarchists to having voting commercials on MTV and not be considered a total sell out.
I still love Reinventing Axl Rose, Searching For a Former Clarity, and As the External Cowboy

its got way more synthesizers and is a lot more acoustic and smooth. You can tell who it is, but it doesn't sound like Against Me!

It's pretty cool, I especially like Anna is a Stool Pigeon.

I really like New Wave. It's different but still good.

This kind of makes me sad. I always enjoyed the drummer at Against Me! shows; not just for his drumming, but he just seemed like a cool guy, and was fun to watch. So, this does make me sad. However, Hot Water's drummer is good, and I hope Against Me! continues to make great, extraordinarily unique sounding, music. On that subject, I can see, and agree (to a point) on how they "sold out." But I am not one to judge, maybe they just changed. They were pretty young during Reinventing Axle Rose. On the subject of New Wave, it was different, which is why I love Against Me! It is not my favorite album, but I did enjoy it, especially Borne on the FM Waves of the Heart. So ya, I hope Against Me! and former drummer Warren Oakes continue to do well.
