I hope everyone is having a happy holiday!  We have two updates in one today, although the latter is just big fixes and won't mean too much to you guys.

First though is a brand new chat that has been added to TPU and can be accessed via the Chat tab at the top of the screen!  (Right beside Forums, Members, and Calendar.)  But if you're really too lazy to find it, click here.

A couple of notes:

• Only 5 people are able to enter the chatroom at any one time.  I can increase this number, but it will cost me money, so consider this a test period.  If the chat is unused and never fills up, then there's no reason for me to put down money for more users.  If however, we find that chat is frequently reaching its maximum, then I'll be opening my wallet.  
  
• You must use your TPU log in information to chat.  This way, nobody can pretend to be someone that they're not.
  
• This chat is hosted on the official IPB server.  That means that we won't have any slowdown, as we did on old TPU.  
  
• If the chat won't load in your browser, type something into the chat bar and press enter/return.  It should work without any hitches afterward, although some very old browsers may be incompatible with the chat period.  Let me know if you have any problems.  

The forums have been upgraded from IPB 3.1.2 to 3.1.4.  This fixes a couple of glitches, but otherwise, won't be of much interest to you guys.

I'm having a problem. When the chat showed there was only 4 people on, it still wouldn't let me in.

Loki was entering and exiting the chat just as you tried to get on.  He probably made it in before you.

I don't care know cause apparently I won't be entering the chat anyway. Haha. There's still 5 people in there.
Knowing them it's probably an evil plan, "Don't leave the chat, even if you're not here, don't sign out, so TGR will not be able to enter the chat." Lol. xD

What does your screen say?  Try reloading.

They're just a small punk band struggling against the bourgeois that control the music industry , I'm sure they don't have the resources to do that

They already pay the server costs.  The chat however, is hosted off of the server (this is to ensure no slowdown occurs), and so I will be paying for it.

It was my decision to add the chat.  I was not asked to do this, nor did I consult anyone at A-F about it. Thus, I will be paying for it.

and I heard from a reliable source that it only costs 20 dollars a year for the chat tpu uses to have a 20 person maximum.

As an unbiased third party, I'd say that, apart from the user limit, TPU chat is nicer.

Also, TPU chat does not have music.

Anyone can go into my site, you have to register to go into this chat. Some people may count this as a plus for this chat, but those people can go eat a bag of dicks.
