How does that make me pompous?  I develop websites for a living, but a majority of them I would consider meaningless.  I didn't say your life was meaningless, or even that you do more meaningless things than I do.  (The impact we make on the world should not be based strictly on what we get paid for.) I only said that capitalism diverts our attention away from the things that actually matter.

If you look at how many people are in poverty compared to how many are living in luxury, you will realize that most people would gain from revolution.

i havent read anything he's wrote but ive read about him. he was like all for anarchy since he was like 16 or something like that and he was arrested by the army for trying to overthrow the king but that was over a hundred years ago. whatever he said could be put in a better context by someone of modern era.
